Below are some links to videos of people flying their DL Powered planes...

The DLUSA Bling is Back

All but destroyed from being shot down when my frequency marker was ignored, the DLUSA Bling has been repaired and is flying once again. In this second crash, the gear was torn off, engine and firewall were ripped out, prop, spark plug, ignition, throttle servo and muffler were all broken, and additional and somewhat extensive damage was done to the wings and fuselage. Even with all that, all of the original engine and mounting parts (except for the plug, exhaust and ignition) were reused.  2 months away from it has left me a little rusty but it's still as much fun as ever and still my favorite.

Test Flying the DL50 Extra 262

"On a cold and windy day this last weekend, I was fortunate enough to have a friend available to catch some video of my play time with the DLUSA Hangar 9 Extra "262". I have the throttle travel limited so the engine will only rev to only 6200rpm so as to mimic performance on a heavier plane. Even so, quick blips of the throttle toss the plane around as if it were a foamie. The reliability of the engine gives me the confidence I need to tail slide at altitudes where a flame out would be disastrous."

DL50 maiden.

"My first attempt at making and posting my own video.
Laugh away...I cut out the parts of my nose running, and swearing and trimming out the plane!!!!
Check out the snaps on the go-rounds and takeoff....the hover was out of focus...sorry....more to come"

DL 50 tach reading on second day of flying.

"Let me preface, and say, that I was always told "Things that are too good to be true, usually aren't true".

So , the performance of this engine has surprised me , to say the least, AND it seems to good to be true. Even though I had a plugged carb, I still say my experience so far has been good. Too good, really.

So, when will it break down,? When will it grenade? How is it going to fail? These questions are in the fore-front of my mind.

Because , it seems to good to be true, BUT....I and a very good friend, witnessed it, and it blew us away.

So, here it is......nomex flame suit on. And well......watch for yourself.... "
